Nankivel graduates from banking school

Cindy Nankivel, deposit product specialist with Alerus Financial in West Fargo, recently graduated from the Dakota School of Banking sponsored by the North Dakota Bankers Association (NDBA) and endorsed by the South Dakota Bankers Association (SDBA). In its 35th year, the school trained 61 bank personnel. The school has been held on the campus of Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D., since 1997.

10th Annual Taste of West Fargo set

The West Fargo Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassadors Committee, assisted by local businesses, will be hosting their 10th Annual “Taste of West Fargo Appreciation Picnic,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Thursday, August 7, at the shelter at Elmwood Park.

West Fargo Business Development Director Dorinda Anderson is among 32 people from throughout North Dakota receiving certification as Economic Development Finance Professionals (EDFP) from the National Development Council (NDC), a private non-profit corporation specializing in economic/housing development training and technical assistance.

Three Lyons Pub, West Fargo’s newest restaurant and bar, located at 745 13th Ave. E., just west of the Pioneer Center, brings a little bit of England to the Fargo-Moorhead area. Waiters wear red tartan kilts, and serve food off of a menu that is as much fun to read as it is to order from. Diners sampling the authentic British fare will learn an interesting assortment of English terminology and jargon.
