Oh, Sandy.

Popular doughnut purveyor Sandy's Donuts & Coffee Shop is now offering same-day delivery from its West Fargo store, 301 Main Ave. W., responding to years of customer requests to bring the sweet stuff right to their front door.

Manager Jamie Tate said Sandy's will offer same-day deliveries 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday to addresses within 10 miles of the West Fargo store for a fee of $8.50 and a minimum order of one dozen. Tate said customers can get coffee, lunch and other offerings in addition to doughnuts.

The business will deliver larger orders of at least $100 outside that 10-mile radius for 55 cents per mile, he said.

Sandy's has long offered previously scheduled deliveries for orders placed at least a day in advance, but Tate said the same-day option began about a month and a half ago after the business built up a large enough fleet of drivers.

"I think the new home delivery is going to be really nice for people this winter that have kids or older people, when you can have a dozen doughnuts show up at your house rather than bundling up three kids and going out in the cold," he said.

To place an order, visit www.sandysdonuts.com or call (701) 281-0430.

Same-day delivery service will also be offered Sundays beginning Aug. 20 when Sandy's Donuts is open that day of the week for the first time.

The West Fargo store will be open 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sundays, while the downtown Fargo store, 300 Broadway N., will have Sunday hours of 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

"People have asked and asked and asked for us to be open on Sundays," Tate said. "We're making the leap because of customer interest."
