Healing Touch Chiropractic launches local 'Tools for School' drive
In the wake of rising costs and budget cutbacks, Healing Touch Chiropractic wants to be sure teachers and students in need have the supplies necessary for a productive school year.
Through their "Tools for School" drive, Healing Touch Chiropractic will collect new school supplies for schools in the West Fargo District. The goal of the program is to ensure that every student begins the school year with the supplies and positive outlook necessary to reach their full academic, physical and mental potential.
"We look at wellness as more than just physical health," said Dr. Tiffany Johnson of Healing Touch Chiropractic. "Our kids are under enormous pressure. If we can relieve this one stress from their lives, I believe they will not only be healthier in mind, body and spirit, but better able to learn as well. In addition to the children, it is important that teachers get the help they need, so the additional costs don't come out of their personal pocket."
Healing Touch Chiropractic will be accepting donations of specific school supplies including Texas Instrument scientific calculators T130X, Sit N Gym Plus Exercise Ball Chairs with feet, expandable pocket files, glue, pencil boxes, crayons, colored pencils, and markers. The "Tools for School" drive will run from August 2-20, with a drop-off box located at Healing Touch Chiropractic's office at 158 W. Beaton Dr., Suite 200, West Fargo. Once all donations are collected, Healing Touch Chiropractic's staff and their volunteers will distribute the supplies to area elementary schools.
