Peterson Farms Seed to host speakers

Glyphosate weed resistance may seem a world away from the Red River Valley, but it is much closer than one may think. On Jan. 12, Peterson Seed Company and Bayer CropScience are hosting some of the most knowledgeable experts in North Dakota and Minnesota, across the United States and around the world for a discussion on the status of glyphosate weed resistance, and how soon local growers should be worrying about problems on their own farms. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, with lunch to follow, at the Fargo Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S.

Featured Speakers will include:

Dr. Stephen Powles, a world renowned scientist from the University of Western Australia who serves as director of the Western Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative.
