Two new displays to open Thursday at Fargo Air Museum
FARGO — A ribbon cutting for an interactive ace fighter pilot exhibit and a Congressional Gold Medal exhibit will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Fargo Air Museum.
American Fighter Aces are an elite group of combat pilots. Of the roughly 1,400 pilots who reached ace status, fewer than 50 survive today.
A duplicate of the Congressional Gold Medal, which is awarded to aces, will be on display. Both exhibits are permanent.
Designer John Valo and installment team members Matt Bartelt, Leo Ostendork, Osborne Groethe and Dennis Larson will answer questions.
