Memorial service for homeless to be held Thursday

FARGO — A procession and memorial service honoring local homeless people who have died will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21.

The procession will leave US Bank Plaza at Broadway and Second Avenue North at 6:45 p.m. and will head to First Lutheran Church, 619 Broadway N. Those unable to walk should meet at the church for a brief memorial service at 7 p.m.

More than 150 people are known to have died while homeless between January 2009 and November 2017 in the Fargo-Moorhead area, according to the Fargo-Moorhead Coalition for Homeless Persons.
