4-H carnival, raffle brings 400 people to fairgrounds
Cass County 4-H clubs held its annual 4-H Carnival and Raffle on Sunday, March 16, at the Hartl Ag Building/Red River Valley Fairgrounds.
There were 17 carnival booths along with bingo and cake walk that were hosted by 4-H clubs from throughout the county with almost 400 people in attendance.
Three local club booths were chosen as winners based on their originality, creativity, design and demonstration of the theme. First place went to Sandburrs of Kindred for roping. Second place was awarded to Triple “C” of Fargo/West Fargo, with chicken race; and third place went to the Clover Friends of the West Fargo area for Plinko.
Individual 4-Hers competed for cash prizes by selling carnival tickets. Erica Stave, Wheatland Pioneers, Casselton was recognized for selling the most carnival tickets, 590.Anakin Bruesch,and Ryker Bruesch, Building Lifetime Treasures, Amenia, and Jana Russiff, Harwood Helpers, Harwood all tied for second place by selling 150 tickets.Amber Pyle, Valley Adventures, West Fargo placed fifth in the ticket selling competition by selling 120 tickets. All the proceeds from the event will go to the Cass County 4-H Program to support educational programming, events, activities and the growth of the 4-H program.
