Nate Gilbraith has received a $4,000 University Scholarship from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Gilbraith is the son of Wes and Tammy Gilbraith, Harwood, N.D., and intends to major in graphic communications.

The University Scholarship awards $1,000 for the freshman year and is given to students admitted to MSUM with a composite ACT score of 24-25 and a high school rank in the top 50 percent, or a composite ACT score of 21-23 and a high school class rank in the top 10 percent. It's renewable for a maximum of four years with a 3.5 GPA.

Minnesota State University Moorhead is a comprehensive regional university enrolling approximately 8,500 students. MSUM offers 76 undergraduate majors with 172 different emphases and options, 15 areas of pre-professional studies, 13 graduate degree programs, and 35 areas of teacher licensure preparation. MSU Moorhead is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
