Activity Pass prices to increase next two years
The price of activity passes will be going up by $5 in the next two years.
However, for senior citizens who live in the school district, the passes can be obtained from the district office for free.
Almost 400 seniors signed up this year to receive a free pass to activities during the 2013-14 school year, said Community Relations Coordinator Heather Konschak on Monday night.
Business Manager Mark Lemer said administration considered splitting the passes so that one pass would be needed for Sheyenne High School and another one would be needed to attend West Fargo High School activities. But, officials decided to keep the passes universal. Lemer said a price increase for the universal passes are appropriate because now that there are two high schools, there will be many more activities that the pass will accommodate.
Activity passes for senior citizens who do not live in the school district and students will go from $20 to $25 in 2014-15 and it will cost $30 during the 2015-16 school year. The passes are free for senior citizens who live within the school district .
Adult passes will be raised from $70 to $75 in the first year and will cost $80 in 2015-16.
