The Cass County Historical Society, which operates Bonanzaville, is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), charitable organization. Contributions are tax-deductible.
Bonanzaville officials decided the church would have to be replaced after the cost for repairs was estimated at roughly $1 million. The building was insured for about $27,000.
