Alerus Financial promotes Melgaard, hires Daede

Alerus Financial has announced the promotion of Stephanie Melgaard to lead customer service supervisor; and has hired Sara Daede as a teller.

Previously a customer service supervisor, Melgaard's new responsibilities include overseeing the customer service areas in the Fargo and West Fargo branches to ensure extraordinary customer service and strong branch performance. Additionally, Melgaard will continue to manage the customer service area at Alerus' West Fargo branch location.

Melgaard joined Alerus in 2009. She previously worked as a store manager for Starbucks Coffee Company and as a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments. Melgaard holds a B.A. in communication with an English minor from the University of Northern Colorado. She and her husband, Karsten, reside in Dilworth.

Daede is responsible for customer service by handling financial transactions for lobby and/or drive-up customers. Additionally, she maintains basic knowledge of all retail products and services.

Daede graduated from Century High School in Bismarck, N.D., and received a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer science education from North Dakota State University in 2009. She currently lives in Fargo.
