Allan (Spud) Hodgson, 80, of Prescott Valley passed away October 5, 2008. Services were held Saturday, October 11, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Prescott, Ariz.
Allen was born August 13, 1928 in Fargo, N.D. to Charles P. and Alice Hodgson. He grew up on the family homestead near Argusville, N.D. He attended Argusville High School. He married Audrey Henderson of Erie, N.D. October 26, 1945. They raised four children on the family farm. He farmed with his brothers. In 1965, they moved to West Fargo. He moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz., in 1992 and married Grace Mensi November 27, 1993. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and served as treasurer for the board of directors of New Horizon Adult Care Home. He enjoyed reading, watching western movies, and spending time with his friends and family.
Allan is survived by his wife, Grace Marie Hodgson, Prescott Valley, Ariz.; daughter, Connie (Bob) Rodman, West Fargo, N.D.; three sons, James, Sacremento, Calif.; Richard (Kay), East Grand Forks, Minn.; Robert (Nina), Newman Lake, Wash.; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Evon (Kurt) Stemm, Tucson, Ariz.; step-son, Randy Mensi, Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Bill (Juanita) Hodgson, Argusville, N.D.; sister, Betty (Neal) Tracy, Chapel Hill, N.C.; five step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
