Applebee's raises funds for N.D. Special Olympics
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar and local law enforcement teamed up to help raise over $12,000 for the North Dakota Special Olympics when they hosted their 4th Annual Tip-A-Cop event, Sept. 21 and 22 at all Applebee's locations throughout North Dakota.
At the event, local law enforcement volunteered their time to serve Applebee's customers. One hundred percent of the tips earned during the event were donated to the North Dakota Special Olympics. This year's statewide Tip-A-Cop total amounted to over $12,000, making it a very successful event on behalf of North Dakota Special Olympics.
Applebee's is the largest casual dining concept in the world, with over 1,700 restaurants system wide, including company and franchise stores.
"Wherever we go, Applebee's is a good neighbor and member of the community," said Abe Sakak, Chief Operating Officer for Apple Core Enterprises. "Being a good neighbor has always been an important part of the Applebee's brand, and the results of the 2010 Tip-A-Cop event continue to prove how many good neighbors we have in the communities we serve throughout North Dakota."
