Applications sought for police department youth academy

The West Fargo Police Department is accepting applications for the WFPD Youth Academy with classes beginning soon.

The program, targeted for youth in grades nine through 12, is designed to increase the understanding of policing between the police department and the youth in the community, with topics including: drug enforcement, registered offenders, SWAT, traffic stops, firearms, ride-a-longs, and much more.

Anyone interested or having questions should contact Officer Travis Johnson at 433-5500. Applications are available at the West Fargo Police Department at 800 4th Ave. E.
