Be part of Community fun
I hope if you're in town this weekend you'll consider getting caught up in the community spirit by celebrating some aspect of West Fest.
Simply stated, West Fest is one of the most enjoyable family-oriented community celebrations you'll find anywhere.
Chris Barton and her staff at the Chamber have been working long and hard to ensure that the 16th annual event will be the best it can possibly be.
From the always crowd-pleasing grand parade with over 100 entries, to the two-day Valley Vintage Car Show at the Vets Arena, to the magnificent kids and teen line-up, to the fantastic fireman's ball at the fairgrounds, there indeed promises to be activity sure to appeal to everyone.
Sheyenne Street has always been a hub of activity during West Fest and this year promises to be no exception, with special happenings planned all along the way including serving as the major route for the parade that typically draws hundreds and hundreds of spectators, anxious to take it all in.
Our parking lot will be in the midst of it all, as the host location for the parade grandstand that will be announcing parade entries; the site for the popular Kids 4 Health event all morning; as well as the source of a booth manned by members of our own staff who will be conducting a 'meet and greet' of sorts, complete with conversation, some special in-house offerings, as well as ice-cold lemonade or piping hot coffee (whichever beverage the temperature dictates).
So if you're out and about and in our neck of the woods on Sheyenne Street, take a few minutes, stop by and say hello. We'd love to have the opportunity to spend a few minutes visiting or answering any questions you might have, and for those of you we don't already know, put a face with a voice or a name.
