Benefit Nov. 2 for Justin Rheault
Friends and family will host the Justin Rheault Benefit Fundraiser and Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Dilworth Community Center, 709 1st Ave. N.W., to help with accrued medical bills.
Justin was burned in bonfire incident late this summer sustaining third degree burns to his legs and feet. He was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center Burn Unit where he spent 20 days and underwent two separate surgeries for skin grafting.
He does not have insurance and has accrued substantial medical debt. Due to his injuries, Justin still has a long road to recovery and will need several months of physical therapy. It also remains unknown when he will be able to return to work. Proceeds from the benefit will help defray medical and other expenses related to his treatment and care.A spaghetti dinner and silent auction is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. and a live auction starting at 7:30 p.m. with items including: an official signed football by Jared Allen of the Minnesota Vikings; a pair of Minnesota Wild tickets, third row center ice behind the wild bench; a Lake of the Woods fishing excursion; Galaxy Tablet; and a one-of-a-kind art piece from Forest Edge Art GalleryA Halloween themed dance will be held after the auction from 8 p.m. to midnight. There will be a costume contest with prizes, so everyone is encouraged to wear costumes.Lend A Hand, a program of DMF, is providing up to $5,000 of matching funds to provide more help for the family.
