Benefit set for Greuel-Anderson on Feb. 2
A special benefit will take place Feb. 2 for Kari Greuel-Anderson at the El Zagal Shrine Center, 1429 3rd St. N., Fargo. The event will feature a silent auction, raffle and bake sale, along with a chili and baked potato bar, all from 4 to 8 p.m. There will also be music by Smoking Gun from 8 to 12 p.m.
Kari is a 53 year-old Fargo native who has worked in the hotel industry locally for many years. She has Stage III Colon Cancer/lymph necessitating multiple surgeries and Chemotherapy treatments that are currently ongoing. Her insurance does not include short/long term disability and she is only able to work as tolerated. All donations will help defray the cost of Kari’s mounting medical and living expenses.
DMF Lend A Hand will be providing up to $5,000 in matching funds; and additional funding will be provided by Thrivent Lutheran Services.
