Benefit set for McCleary family
Friends and Dakota Medical Foundation-Lend A Hand will host a benefit on July 25 to help Richard McCleary, who was diagnosed in May with Acute Leukemia (A.L.L.).
McCleary has started chemotherapy treatment at Sanford Health and will need to be transferred to the University of Minnesota Hospital in MInneapolis for a Bone Marrow Transplant this fall. All proceeds will be helping with medical bills.
McCleary has been employed as a local truck driver for more than a decade and currently works
for Tri-State Transport. He and his wife Lisa have lived in the Fargo/Moorhead area for more
than 30 years and have two children, Nicholas Johansen and Krista Campbell.
The benefit will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bowler, 2630 S. Univ. Dr., featuring a Silent Auction, Bake Sale and a free-will offering meal.
Lend A Hand, a program of DMF will be providing up to $5,000 of matching funds to provide more help for the family.
