Pierce has three daughters and has lived in the Fargo/Moorhead community for over 20 years. She was recently diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer. This is the second time she has battled the disease, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 enduring chemo and radiation before going into remission. In July of this year, she had surgery to remove the upper right lobe of her lung. The bleak prognosis has been hard on the family and intensified by the fact the girls' father is also going through cancer treatment for non hodgkins lymphoma.

Everyone is welcome to attend the benefit. Those unable to be there but would still like to make a donation can do so by stopping into any Wells Fargo location with an account set up under Teri Pierce.
