Bereavement support group to meet
West Fargo Parish Nurses, in conjunction with the West Fargo Ministerial Association, is sponsoring a Bereavement Support Group free of charge for anyone experiencing grief or bereavement. The next session will be held Sunday, Jan. 9, at 1:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 127 2nd Ave. E. The program will be a video on "Emotions of Grief," which will include discussion on various reactions to grief such as shock, anger, denial, blame and regret and appropriate responses to these emotions. Discussion, fellowship and refreshments are always included.
The remaining program schedule is: Sunday, Feb. 6, 1:30 p.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church, Mary Weiler, board chair of the N.D. Chapter for the Foundations for Suicide Prevention, will present "Myths on Suicide Loss From a Survivor's Perspective;" Sunday, March 6, 1:30 p.m., Faith Lutheran Church. Maren Kramer, social work counselor will present "Depression As a Part of Grief;" Sunday, April 3, 1:30 p.m., Holy Cross Catholic Church and Lutheran Church of the Cross. Video Program: "When Your Spouse Dies" will identify feelings such as "Who am I now?, insecurity, and wholeness." Discussion & refreshments.
