Berg recipient of presidential call to duty award for service
West Fargo Police Chief Arland Rasmussen has awarded Brad Berg of Fargo the Presidential Call to Duty Award. The honor took place Oct. 7, in a special ceremony at the West Fargo Police Department.
The lifetime presidential award is presented to Americans who donate more than 4,000 hours of volunteer service to benefit or protect their community. Berg has donated well over 4,000 hours to the West Fargo Police Department and the community of West Fargo. He began working at the department in October 2000 assisting in patrol activities and criminal investigations.
To coincide with the honor, Berg also received a personal letter from President George W. Bush, along with a presidential lapel pin.
