Bethany to host Pi Day

In celebration of Pi Day, Bethany Retirement Living will be hosting Pi Day at both campuses on Thursday, March 14. The event will feature a variety of delicious pies and ice cream for sale. Proceeds from the event will be used by the Bethany Auxiliary to purchase items to enhance the quality of life for residents at Bethany. The Pie Day celebration at Bethany Retirement Living is open to the public.

At Bethany on University, 201 University Dr S, Fargo, pie and ice cream will be served from 1:30 to 3 p.m. with Joseph Demasi providing musical entertainment. Bethany on 42nd, 4255 30 Ave S, Fargo, will hold its Pie Day event from 2 to 4 p.m. with Glenn Douglass providing entertainment.

March 14 (3/14) is called Pi Day and is celebrated by math enthusiasts around the world. According to the web site, the Greek letter Pi (π) is the symbol for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pi has been calculated to more than 1 trillion digits.
