Borslien named member of Concordia University, Nebraska Symphonic Band
Erika Borslien of West Fargo is a member of the University Symphonic Band at Concordia University, Nebraska for its 2013-2014 academic year. Erika, a freshman, plays Clarinet and is working towards a degree in B.Mus. Music Education, Church Music.
The University Symphonic Band is Concordia University’s premiere concert band and is deeply rooted in the more than one hundred year history of instrumental musical ensembles at Concordia. Andrew Schultz is the band’s conductor.
Along with several concert performances throughout the school year, the Symphonic Band is one of several ensembles that perform at the popular Christmas at Concordia concert series, which draws an audience of approximately 2,000 people to each of its four concerts each December.
Concordia University, Nebraska, founded in 1894, is a fully accredited, coeducational university located in Seward, Neb. that currently serves over 2,200 students.
