Boys cross country second, girls third at WF Invitational
The Packers’ cross country teams had on strong outing on Saturday morning at Johnson Park in Moorhead. The boys’ team finished second out of eight teams with a score of 56, and the girls took third place out of eight teams with a score of 67.
The Packer girls got a first-place finish out of freshman runner Jen Dufner, who finished her 4k in 15 minutes, 45 seconds.
The girls’ next finisher was freshman Kaitlyn Ask, who finished 10th out of 70 runners with a time of 16:21. Juniors Andrea Milbrandt and Alexis Young finished 14th and 16th, respectively, to round out the Pack’s top 20 finishers.
The boys had five top 20 runners and were led by junior Parker Rosenau, who finished sixth out of 59 with a 17:15 5k time.
Sophomore Kody Coles and junior Keegan Cronin finished 10th and 11th, respectively. Eighth-grader Noah Schaeffer was four seconds behind Cronin, finishing 13th with a 17:45 time.
The Packers will be in Lindenwood Park tomorrow at 4 p.m. for a Fargo Shanley invitational meet.
