Boys Hockey loses two games, wins one

The West Fargo boys hockey team finished the regular season with a win, but not before losing two earlier in the week.

The Packers lost to Fargo Davies 4-2 on Tuesday night before being shut out by the Grand Forks-Red River Roughriders 6-0 on Thursday. They picked it up on Saturday to beat the Devils Lake Firebirds 3-0.

The team was led on Tuesday by junior C.J. Lenzmeier, who had both goals for the team – both with a man advantage. Wyatt Fretheim, Alec Rowland and Logan Matzke eached earned an assist in the game.

In Saturday’s game, the team got its three goals from Rowland, Tyler Crouse and Jake Wasem.

In both games, the team had over 50 shots on goal, but only managed 15 shots against Red River.

Goalie Bailey Vareberg had 62 saves in the three games.
