The officer tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver accelerated rapidly, going southeast on Main Avenue at speeds of more than 90 mph, the release stated.

The car broke down near the intersection of Highway 52 and 30th Avenue South.

The driver, Savoy Abraham, 23, of West Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, third-degree DWI and possession of stolen property. He was taken to the Clay County Jail.

The Nissan's owner was reporting it stolen to Fargo Police when Moorhead Officers attempted to stop it.
