Caroline F. Blake, 60, of Detroit Lakes, died Monday, December 10, 2007 in her home.
Caroline Frances Blake was born to Harvey and Jean (Crane) Blake on Dec. 29, 1946 in San Diego, Calif. She moved with her family throughout California, and attended school there. Caroline moved to the Greenbush, Minn., area and married Laurel Majer. They were married for 12 years, and farmed near Greenbush. They divorced in 1980, and Caroline moved to Warroad, Minn., then to Holt, Minn. She had worked at Carol's Café in Thief River Falls as a cook for 10 years before moving to Detroit Lakes. Caroline worked at Evans' Grocery and at St. Mary's Nursing Center as a cook.
Caroline is survived by her son, Troy Majer of Fergus Falls; stepdaughter, Cheryl Kakaygeesick of Moorhead; one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, continuing for one hour prior to the start of services at the church on Friday.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at Grace Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, with the Rev. Eric Lemonholm officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Strathcona, Minn.
