Center Street closes for paving work
West Fargo's Center Street was closed again Monday by officials from the North Dakota Department of Transportation just north of Main Avenue between Main Avenue and Pinewood Boulevard. The closure will be in place for about two weeks so paving can be completed on the roadway.
During the closure, access to all area businesses will be maintained with detours set up for cars only - via 3rd St. E. and Pinewood Blvd.; and trucks using 7th Ave. N.E. and 9th St. N.E.
Third Street with an aggregate base was also reopened to traffic Monday, and will remain open during the paving operation on Center Street.
The Main Avenue reconstruction project is underway between 6th Street West, near the Sheyenne River crossing, and 5th Street East, near DMI Industries and the West Fargo Post Office. All east-west Main Avenue traffic continues to be routed to the frontage road in head-to-head configuration with one lane going in each direction.
