Chief's Corner: West Fargo Night to Unite coming up

The West Fargo Police Department will host Night to Unite on Aug. 5 in Elmwood Park, 500 13th Ave. W. from 5 to 9 p.m.

Those attending the event will find an evening filled with entertainment, food vendors, demonstrations and informational booths.

The Night to Unite event is meant to provide an opportunity for the public to interact with emergency service providers from the community in a casual setting.

Law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel will be available to demonstrate a variety of equipment items and answer questions. Under the watchful eye of trained personnel, participants are encouraged to try their hand at using some of the equipment.

Night to Unite is

also an opportunity to learn about support services within the community. Representa-tives from a variety of organizations will be present to explain what they have to offer to the community.

Representatives from the city of West Fargo, Cass County and the state of North Dakota will be available during the event to provide information and answer questions.

Night to Unite is a family event with games for the kids, entertainment and food. Please join in the fun.

In case of threatening weather, the event will be canceled and an announcement made over local media outlets.
