Clyde Rugg, 86, Fergus Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in Broen Memorial Home, Fergus Falls.
Mr. Rugg was born March 3, 1908, near North English, Iowa. He grew up and graduated from high school near Wellman, Iowa. He then attended Business College in Chillicothe, Mo. He worked for the Taylor Forge Company, Chicago. On July 25, 1930, he married Emily Edgar in Chicago. They moved to Edwards, Minn., where they owned the Leeper Store. He also worked on the Alcan Highway and at Ellsworth Air Force Base near Rapid City, S.D. He later operated Ruggs Plumbing and Heating Store, Edwards. They later moved near Edwards. She died in 1996.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna (Wallace) Salmonson, Fergus Falls; a brother, Walter, Iowa; a sister, Dorothy Hess, Iowa; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial service: Saturday at 11 in Tonseth Lutheran Church near Erhard.
Burial: Tonseth Cemetery near Erhard.
