Coldest wind chills of season expected tonight

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The coldest wind chills of the season will likely hit the region tonight into Tuesday morning, with values near the Canadian border possibly approaching 50 below, the National Weather Service says.

Hazardous wind chills of 25 below to 40 below zero will continue through this afternoon for most of eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota, including Cass and Clay counties, according to the weather service office in Grand Forks.
