Fair Manager Bryan Schulz stated, "These particular exhibits are great for kids who enjoy applying their creativity and using their imaginations."

Youngsters who enjoy decorating eggs for Easter, should consider the decorated egg contest, which is limited to two eggs per exhibitor.  Prizes will be awarded. Entry day is Thursday, July 7, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Poultry (Foltz) Building. There is no entry fee or age limit.

The coloring contest is a classic archive to the Red River Valley Fair.  This year's theme is "It's Time to Play."  Participants can download the coloring sheet from the website, retrieve it from the 2011 Premium Book, or pick one up at the Fair office.  There are two age divisions:  0-5 year and 6-11 year olds. All sheets will be on display in Harvest Hall all nine days of the fair.  Deadline to enter is Thursday, July 7, before 1 p.m.
