Community forums your chance to speak up
West Fargo school board members and administrators have been talking to parents and residents one-on-one, and they have been told repeatedly that the first bond election package was too big and too expensive. So they have come up with a new scaled-down school construction project proposal that they hope will pass in a second bond election. But they want input from the community to guide their decisions before moving forward.
The district is hosting three community meetings to get input from parents and residents, and to find out what the community would like included in the new proposal. This is your chance to speak up and voice your views to help give our school leaders direction on this important issue.
The first community meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 11, at Cheney Middle School. A second meeting will be held on Thursday, August 13, at the Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center. If you are unable to attend either of these meetings, a final meeting will be held on Monday, August 17, at the West Fargo High School. All the meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Let's unite and take ownership in our schools by giving input to help shape what our future schools will look like. Make a point to attend one, or all three of the meetings, and share your questions and comments.
