The first Costco Store will be opening its doors in the Dakotas in a convenient West Fargo location.

The announcement that Rusty Goose Development, LLLP, has entered into a purchase agreement with Costco Wholesale Corporation to sell an 18-acre site for a store located in the southwest quadrant of I-94 and Veterans Boulevard was made this afternoon (Thursday) by Dan Bueide of the Vogel Law Firm, attorney and owners representative for Rusty Goose Development.

Bueide said the improvements and utilities necessary to support the project will be installed next spring with a store opening date of approximately Nov. 1, 2012, anticipated.

Property owners are Doris Borth and Mary Hammerud who were raised on the site that their parents Oscar and Martha Rustad farmed for many years.

A public hearing on the subdivision and rezoning of the parcel from agriculture to light commercial will be on tonight's West Fargo Planning and Zoning Commission agenda.
