Court re-opens Senser bid for freedom on appeal
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Court of Appeals is asking a lower-court judge to explain why he denied Amy Senser's request to stay out of prison while she appeals her conviction in a fatal hit-and-run.

Senser, the wife of former Vikings tight end Joe Senser, has been held since early July. That's when she was sentenced to 41 months in prison in the death in Minneapolis last summer of Anousone Phanthavong (ah-NOO'-sahn PAN'-tah-wong).
District Judge Daniel Mabley was ordered to give his reasoning for the denial, the Star Tribune reported.
Senser's attorney, Eric Nelson, has argued that she's not a flight risk.
