Dale Joseph Mangin, 85, West Fargo, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
Dale Mangin was born March 19, 1924, in LaMoure, N.D., to William and Clara (Gindt) Mangin. He graduated from LaMoure High School, and in 1945 married Verda Peterson. He worked at the Farmers Union in LaMoure for four years and in 1949, became manager at the Farmers Union in Sheyenne, N.D. He was there until he moved to West Fargo in 1968, where he purchased the Midway Laundromat. He also worked at O'Day Equipment for 20 years until he retired in 1989. Dale was an avid Minnesota Viking and Minnesota Twins fan and loved doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Verda, of 65 years; two sons and two daughters, Larry (Becky), Louisville, Colo., Danny (Verna), West Fargo, Donelle Langness, Fargo, Patti (Bill) Murphy, Fargo; and six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Robert.
