Dance: Packatahnas take second in high kick at UDA Nationals

The West Fargo Packatahnas competed at the Universal Dance Association's National Dance Team Competition in Orlando on Feb. 6-7, taking second place in Varsity High Kick out of a field of 30 competitors.

They also placed 15th in the Large Varsity Pom category.

The Packatahnas competed with other nationally recognized teams such as Eden Prairie (Minn.) High School, Floyd Central High School and Crown Point High School of Indiana, and Seminole High School and The Villages High School of Florida. Teams came from as far away as Washington, New Mexico, Oklahoma and California. 

The Packatahna Varsity and JV teams have their final competiton of the season Feb. 19-21 at the United Performing Association's Americup Competition at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

In addition, the 10th Annual Packatahna Dance Show has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27, at West Fargo High School. There will be shows at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for students K-12.
