Davies tops West Fargo boys
The Packer boys basketball regular season came to an end with a rough skid for the Packers, who lost to Fargo Davies 86-73 on Thursday.
Davies shot 50 percent from behind the 3-point line, compared to 27.3 percent from the Packers.
The Packers were led by junior forward Travis Schock, who scored 32 points, shot 53 percent from the field, and made 11 of 15 free throws. He also had three rebounds and three steals.
Schock ends the regular season ranked fourth in the east in scoring, averaging 20.2 points per game. He is also tied for sixth in free-throw percentage, making 77.5 percent of his attempts.
Senior Brady Heisler, the conference’s leading offensive rebounder, ended with 10 points and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes of play time.
The team started the month of February ranked first in the EDC, but lost five of their last six games to tumble down to fourth.
Despite this, the Packers managed to end the season as the east’s best rebounding team, averaging 9.7 more rebounds per game than their opponents.
The Packers -- who ended the season with an 11-8 overall record -- continue through the EDC tournament on Friday evening.
