Dawkins named to spot on national child safety board
West Fargo Police Officer Stacy Dawkins has earned a position on the National Child Passenger Safety Board. Dawkins is a 15-year veteran with the West Fargo Police Department and is currently a member of Safe Kids Fargo/Moorhead. She is also a child passenger safety instructor.
The National Child Passenger Safety Board is a 20 member board group representing such agencies as the American Academy of Pediatrics, AAA, Safe Kids Worldwide, National Safety Council and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The board represents a collaborative voice providing guidance for the safe transportation of children and ensuring the integrity of the child passenger safety training and certification program. Board members serve as a voice for their represented constituencies - such as injury prevention, public safety, vehicle manufacturers, etc. by bringing feedback from the field to better engage their constituents in board initiatives.
In addition to representing their constituents, board members also play a vital role in communicating to the CPS network about board initiatives and issues regarding the safe transportation of children
