District 13 Dem-NPL hosts Meet the Candidates
Residents of West Fargo will have the chance to meet the state candidates for District 13 Dem-NPL Party this week.
A “Meet the Candidates” forum will be held at the West Fargo VFW Post #7564 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Candidates are Scott Brand, Jaci Stofferahn and Landis Larson.
“These are impressive candidates who are engaged and ready to work for this community’s priorities as legislators, “Mary C. Tintes, chair of the District 13 Dem-NPL Party said in a release.
Scott Brand, a West Fargo native and West Fargo High School and University of North Dakota graduate, is running for the North Dakota House of Representatives.
Brand is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and worked in the Washington, D.C. office of Sen. Byron Dorgan. He served as a judicial law clerk in western North Dakota and is an associate attorney for Brudvik Law Office in Fargo.
Jaci Stofferahn, a Fargo native, is a candidate for the North Dakota House of Representatives. Stofferahn has worked for both Sen. Dorgan and Sen. Kent Conrad. She was crowned Miss North Dakota USA in 2012. She has a business marketing degree and currently works for a regional retail boutique.
Landis Larson, candidate for the state Senate, is an inspector/metrology lab technician at Case New Holland in Fargo and is the educator for the IAM&AW Local Lodge 2525. Larson studied engineering at North Dakota State University and has lived in West Fargo for 32 years.Special guest at the event will be West Fargo District 16 Sen. Tyler Axness, who is also a candidate for the North Dakota Public Service Commission.
District 13 covers most of West Fargo.
