Donald was raised on the family farm in Ayr, and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1974. He attended Science School in Wahpeton. He went to work at the Quality Bakery in Fargo and worked there for over 20 years. He moved to Bethany Kinder House in 2003, and there he had some of the best times of his life.

Donald shared his time and talents with the Bethany Community. He volunteered in the Bethany Coffee Shop, called Bingo and "helped out." He brought joy to the staff and residents, just as they brought joy to him.

Donald was a proud member of Calvary United Methodist Church and he loved his church. Calvary was his family. He was honored to sing with the Praise Team and the Choir.

Donald had a great laugh. We will all remember his laugh. His memory was incredible, and he was a great conversationalist. He had a giant heart and generous spirit. Everybody was Donald's friend. He was a gentle man.

Donald loved balloons, African violets, baby animals, word search puzzles, lemonade, his key chain collection, his yellow Hummer and the Minnesota Vikings.

He was a treasured son, brother, uncle and friend. We will miss him. We are better for knowing him.

Donald is survived by Audrie and Tom Cameron, his mother and father, Ayr; one brother, Bill (Cheri), Cottage Grove, Minn.; three sisters: Christine Worthen, Ayr; Leslie Cameron, Fargo; and Maureen (Jim) Dragseth, Sebeka Minn.; nine nephews and nieces: Cameron (Brian) and Meghan (Eric); Ben, Mollie and Grace; Jerome and Tina; Peter (Sarah) and Mark; many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins; his Bethany family and his Calvary family.
