Cameron Dutt has been named the January Student of the Month by the West Fargo Exchange Club.
Dutt, a senior, has a non-weighted grade point average of 3.95, and a cumulative GPA of 4.14. He was recently named a North Dakota Scholar, and has been named to the honor roll each year he's been in high school. Dutt scored a 33 on the ACTs.
Dutt also is a seasoned swimmer, and has been on the West Fargo varsity boys swimming and diving team since the seventh grade. This year, he is a captain of the squad.
A member of the National Honor Society during his junior and senior years, Dutt also has participated in the Holy Cross Catholic Church youth group for four years, which included a mission trip to Denver.
Although Dutt's plans past high school are uncertain, he has narrowed down colleges to Concordia in Moorhead, the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Dutt said he is thinking about majoring in biology, but eventually would like to go to dental school and possibly specialize in orthodontia.
Cameron Dutt's parents are Todd and Mary Dutt, of West Fargo.
