Dvorak named April Exchange Club student of the month

Mickayla Dvorak has been named the West Fargo Exchange Club's student of the month for April.

Dvorak has a 3.83 grade point average, and has participated in both AP and duel credit courses, including English, U.S. history, government, speech, biology, psychology, sociology and French. She also volunteers three times a week at the West Fargo High School library.

The senior keeps busy with extracurricular activities, which have included Key Club president, French Club secretary, FBLA president, Speech, National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, Math Club, Student Congress (placing fourth at state), and DECA. Dvorak has participated in volleyball for three years, captaining her freshman year and as team manager her sophomore and junior years.

For the past two years, Dvorak has volunteered with the Fargo Marathon, and run the Friday 5K with her family. This year she participated in the West Fargo Prom Show.

Dvorak has been accepted to Concordia College in Moorhead, where she plans to dual major in French and English Education. She also received the institution's Faculty Scholarship.

Mickayla Dvorak's mother is Kathy Dvorak of West Fargo.
