Eastwood Elementary School held their annual Pumpkin Contest for the students with winners in three categories: most creative, most like book character and honorable mention.
The contest was promoted by the library with the children creating their pumpkins at home with their families. All the students in the school could participate, but only those that choose to, did.
The passel of pumpkins were displayed in the library for two weeks prior to Halloween. The whole student body and staff enjoyed watching the creations as students brought them and also visiting the library to view them. Organizers said they were proud of the amount of creativity displayed. “It was a festive fun time at Eastwood Elementary. The students did an outstanding job, making it difficult to choose only a few winners.”
