F-M Ambulance has taken delivery of two new ambulances, both Ford E-350 chassis with Type III Warrior ambulance coach conversions manufactured by Osage Ambulances of Linn, Mo.
Prior to entering service, each ambulance will be further outfitted with radios, a global positioning system (GPS), and a power lift cot. Other equipment and supplies that will be carried on the ambulances include: a cardiac monitor and defibrillator, medications, a ventilator and oxygen, airway equipment, backboards, splints, bandages, dressings, and intravenous solutions. Ambulances also carry pediatric specific equipment.
Operations manager Ken Crupich said that the two new ambulances are replacing two older units in the fleet, which are normally replaced every six to seven years.
