Faith Lutheran hosts dinner fundraiser Aug. 7
A pork dinner will be held Saturday, August 7, at 6 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall of Faith Lutheran Church, 127 2nd Ave. E., West Fargo. A pig will be roasting all day Saturday in preparation for this fund-raising dinner, sponsored by Sister Parish.
Faith Lutheran has had a sister parish relationship with the community of Tierra Nueva Uno and Iglesia San Marco Evangelista in Guatemala since 2002. Various delegations have traveled from the area to visit them and develop a relationship. Faith Lutheran has also sponsored members of their community to visit in the FM-West Fargo area. Projects are developing within the community that the Faith Lutheran community will help support. Funds raised from the pig roast will go toward scholarships and projects.
The meal will include pulled pork sandwiches, homemade baked beans, and chips. Ice cream cones will be served in the courtyard of the church after the meal. The public is invited.
Ticket prices are $5 for ages 6-11, $10 for 12-adult, and $25 for a family.
