The Fall Home Show sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead will be Sept. 26 and Sept. 27, at the Fargo Civic Center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. This year's event features Joshua Foss, the metro hippie, who is one of the nation's premier green building design and lifestyle experts. The show will once again showcase fine artists and their wares in addition to home improvement specialists. Accent Kitchen & Bath is the platinum sponsor, Budget Blinds of Fargo is the gold sponsor, and Midcontinent Communications is the silver sponsor of the 2009 Fall Home Show.
Foss will present tips for green remodeling and ways to save money by going green. By combining his years as a carpenter, education in fine arts, and a commitment to environmental stewardship, Foss incorporates effective, cutting-edge green strategies into all his designs. Foss has appeared on HGTV's Design Star and hosted his own series on HGTV.com called Get Green. He is from the Minneapolis area and is active nationwide in the green movement, sitting on several sustainable building committees and being involved with the U.S. Green Building Council.
Accent Kitchen & Bath will offer seminars on renovating your kitchen and bath.
Now in its 20th year, the Fall Home Show will display 30,000 square feet of exhibits under one roof. Painters, sculptors and other fine artists will be featured. There will also be a variety of booths featuring contractors, flooring, siding, spas, windows, water purification, decks, heating/air conditioning, interior decorating and design, kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, garage doors and more.
Admission is $3. All parking is free and convenient. Children younger than age 14 will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Look for more seminar details and a coupon for $1 off admission in the show guide published Sept. 20, in The Forum or at www.hbafm.com. Show guides are also available at all Hornbacher's stores.
