Floodwood woman identified as victim of Becida crash

A Floodwood woman has been identified as the victim of a one-vehicle rollover in northern Hubbard County early Saturday.

Brooke Rosemore, 28, died at the scene. Jesse Dahl, 29, of Grand Rapids, went to a nearby residence and was later taken to North Country Region Hospital in Bemidji, where he was treated and released for minor injuries, Sheriff Frank Homer said.

The 1998 Volkswagon Passat was southbound on County Road 3, 2 miles south of County Road 9, when it went off the road into the east ditch, hit an approach and rolled, Homer said.

Alcohol tests were performed but the results are not known. The accident is under investigation by the Hubbard County Sheriff's Department and Minnesota State Patrol. Rosemore was wearing a seat belt when she was found.Dahl has been booked into the Hubbard County jail, where charges are pending.

Other agencies that responded include Becida First Responders, Bemidji Ambulance and the Bemidji Fire Department.
