"We are excited to have a player with Jared's potential," Jimmies coach Bud Etzold said. "He comes from an outstanding high school program."

The 6-foot, 2-inch and 275-pound Steinberger was a two-time honorable mention All-Conference selection as an offensive lineman for the Packers. He also is a three-time Academic Letter recipient, and a member of the National Honor Society.

The Jimmies are a NAIA II affiliated program, and are part of the Dakota Athletic Conference. Last season, they finished 5-3 in conference play, and 5-5 overall.

Steinberger plans to major in chemistry at Jamestown College. He is the son of Dan and Erin Steinberger.
