Metro Youth Partnership has received a $6000 donation from Gate City Bank for its "Say Yes to Youth" campaign. "As a mutual bank, Gate City Bank is committed to supporting the communities we serve," said Gate City Bank Chairman, President, and CEO Steve Swiontek.  "We are privileged to help provide a better way of life for area children by supporting Metro Youth Partnership."

This donation will enable Metro Youth Partnership to provide scholarships for students in Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead to participate in after-school activities of their own choosing. It will also mobilize young people around civic engagement and service through an annual youth-planned summit.

"We know that when a community rallies around their youth in constructive and supportive ways that we see a reduction in youth crime, drinking, drug use, and we see an increase in leadership and academic performance," said Barry Nelson, executive director of Metro Youth Partnership. "Together, with Gate City Bank, we are truly building the best place on the planet to be a kid."
